To be an exhibitor please read the instructions below carefully.

Register to attend for free. You will need to select ‘OTHER’ as your participant option during registration.

Please note, you do not need to register each year – if you have registered in the past, your details will still be on our database. If, however, your details change, e.g. your address or email, you will need to let us know or we will lose touch with you. Please notify us of such changes by email to info@designcaribbean.com

Please register your details to our database, in order to buy from Design Caribbean. You will need to select ‘TRADE BUYER’ as your participant option during registration. Once registered, you will receive:

  • An invitation to the next Design Caribbean event in the Bahamas
  • A password for the Design Caribbean Online Catalogue. The catalogue is for trade buyers only and will be available from November 2013.
  • Email Newsletters. These are sent out approximately 4 times per year and give useful information about Design Caribbean and the Design Caribbean Online Trade Catalogue including previews of designers and artisans.

Please read this information carefully before entering your product.

Design Caribbean presents a unique opportunity to introduce your product to buyers and the media. We guarantee exposure by providing interested parties with information on all products exhibited. Products will also be photographed and the photographs featured on our website and other promotional material.

In addition to providing a market place for your products, Design Caribbean creates an opportunity to exchange information about products and marketing.

To be part of this exciting show you will need to qualify.

CRITERIA

  1. Products included in Design Caribbean must fall into one or more of the categories listed below:
    1. furniture
    2. home accessories
    3. jewellery
    4. aromatherapy and spa products
    5. home textiles (excluding clothing)
    6. handicraft
    7. gifts
  2. Companies must have export ready products.
  3. Products must demonstrate viability in the market place.
  4. Companies must be registered in the region and products must be made in the Caribbean (proof of product origin may be required).
  5. Exhibitors invited to showcase products in the Diaspora section do not need to meet this criteria.
  6. Creativity in combining traditional skill and innovation in the use of materials and technology as well as high standards of design must be evident.
  7. Workmanship should be of high quality and consistency.
  8. Preference will be granted to handcrafted items.
  9. Preference will be given to products that show a consciousness of sustainable living and environmental preservation.

SELECTION PROCESS

A selection panel will review all applicants.  The selection panel comprises members of Caribbean Export staff and International Design and Trade Fair Consultants.

WHAT TO SEND

Please complete the Design Caribbean Company Assessment Form and send along with images or brochures of products.  Images must be sent in digital format by email or a CD/DVD disc can be posted.

All required documentation must be submitted to Caribbean Export Development Agency no later than February 28, 2013 and should be addressed to:

Interested participants are also required to submit the following:

  • A copy of the company’s representative passport bio-data page; and
  • Photos of products and the person representing the Company (jpeg format)

FEES

The entry fee is US $500 per booth.  Flight and accommodation (incl breakfast) will be covered for 1 person per application.

The management of Design Caribbean reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of all products exhibited, and reserves the right at any time to prohibit display or advertisement of products, which do not meet Design Caribbean’s objectives.
